Knowing when and where to sell your smoothies is important to maximize sales and profits.

College Campus:  try to be a part of a on-campus food restaurant so that you are available for students all of the time. College students love the “on-the-go” factor of smoothies as well that they can stop by in between classes or on their way to other plans.

  • If not come as a temporary service to different events such as football games or pep rallys and generate hype for students.  Get some raffles, prizes and giveaways happening so that students get excited about your smoothies business. This is a great way to build customer loyalty and encourage the school to bring you back more often.

 

Middle/ High School: Parents give students lunch money and would encourage them to partake in a healthy meal. Talk to the school food services or after school organizations to see if you can set up a booth a few times a week to sell healthy smoothies or juices to the students for a certain time period. This is more of a catering services. You want to establish consistent days so that students can prepare to bring money on the days you are selling. The time to set up would be 30 minutes before the end of the day so that you are prepared for the rush of students coming straight from class once it gets out.

– Reach out to the local community to become an active part of your neighborhoods lives. Engage in different benefit events or fundraisers that are happening to support a positive movement and to bring brand awareness to your business.

– sponsor sportings goods such as baseball tournaments, track invitationals and other large competitions. For these events you can advertise “energy boosts”, protein, or any performance boosts that you offer in your smoothies.

– Parks and recreation centers. Take advantage of the warm weather and approach parks near schools where you can target the elementary school kids playing around. Parents enjoy supporting these healthy drinks when their kids are tired from the playground. Think of it as the healthy ice cream truck. Try to come around noon to 3 pm.
